(New versions of AVG share detection capabilities with Avast and the GUI is very similar, so it's strange you saw this with AVG but not Avast).Thanks for bringing this to our attention - this has to be one of the most unusual issues I've seen reported! I'd like to have our team investigate this since I'm not aware of any issues with changing font colors in Excel and our software. And after that clicking 'bold' worked without any pause. For me, it 'started' to hang for a few seconds but then it worked itself out. ![]() Open excel and see if it worked itself out.Maybe see if you can temporarily disable antivirus protection as a test, but if not you can: (For the curious, I installed Avast instead.) I was having the problem with bold, highlight, font color etc. I just uninstalled AVG and now Excel is working for me perfectly.
